This authentically Australian experience by Broome Cruises is a showcase of the region’s unique character, exquisite local cuisine, pearling heritage and magical sunsets – combined in one deluxe, all-inclusive tour package.
Step aboard our fully-equipped and purpose-built 69-ft charter boat, The Crusader III, and you’ll be immersed in a culinary Kimberley adventure.
Indulge in an all-inclusive 7-course menu of local ingredients and fresh seafood prepared by a private onboard chef. Enjoy free-flowing premium beverages, served complimentary as you cruise.
Get hands-on with live wild pearl fishing, sample the rare delicacy of pearl meat from the ocean’s catch, and view some exquisite Cygnet Bay pearls on board.

Broome Cruises’ Half-Day Sunset, Seafood & Pearling Cruise is the only one of its kind in Australia. Embark on a journey of the senses as you wine, dine and savour the rich cultural flavours of this renowned location. Join us for a 5-6-hour afternoon and evening experience you will never forget.
We have proudly partnered with the oldest Australian owned and operated pearl farm, Cygnet Bay Pearls, to give you an interactive experience of wild pearl harvesting.
Your cruise heads out to native pearl oyster beds to pull up live pearl oyster shells. Our crew will demonstrate how to shuck the shells and you will have the opportunity to open and touch a live shell.
You will then get to taste the exquisite Pinctada Maxima pearl meat delicacy.
A stunning pearl display on board will give you an exclusive opportunity to view and learn more about rare Broome pearls.
Relax on board while sipping on complimentary drinks served throughout the cruise. Your 7-course seafood banquet menu is paired with a selection of premium still and sparkling wines from Howard Park, plus local Matsos Ginger Beer, Spinifex Beer, 150 Lashes and Corona. Soft drinks are also available.

Following our live pearling demonstration, we cruise towards Cable Beach where we drop anchor to enjoy sunset. A two-part main course is served, showcasing freshly caught local fish. Enjoy both Red Emperor and Barramundi, each carefully prepared by our onboard chef with accompanying salads and sides.
We finish with a delectable Kakadu Plum dessert, then soak up the magic of what will feel like your very own Broome sunset, while relaxing on the front deck.

Taste a rare seafood delicacy
Growing deep in the pristine waters of the spectacular Kimberley coast, the Pinctada Maxima oyster shell is renowned for the beauty of its mother-of-pearl. It is used by Cygnet Bay Pearl Farms to produce Australia’s exquisite South Sea Pearls.
Beyond the pearl oyster’s visual beauty, lies the most heavenly treat for your tastebuds. A rare culinary delight, pearl meat, features on our cruise menu, served ceviche-style on pearl shell with a zesty coconut and lime dressing.
Pearl meat is the adductor muscle of the oyster, which allows the shell to open and close. Lovingly prepared by our chef, it has a fresh, sweet and delicate taste, with a tender texture. It has plenty of health benefits and is even said to have aphrodisiac qualities!
Only very small quantities of pearl meat are harvested in Australia. It is a highly sought-after and expensive commodity, selling for around $200 per kilogram.
Some of the world’s leading western chefs have begun to feature pearl meat on their menu, as a rare and exclusive ingredient.
Pearl meat is certified by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) as a wild-caught, sustainable seafood.
Where we cruise
Our Half-Day Sunset, Seafood & Pearling Cruise experience begins with a coach transfer from your accommodation to the tip of Broome’s earthy coastline, Gantheaume Point. We welcome you with a fresh Broome mango smoothie, plus soft drinks, Matso’s ginger beer and tropical fruit bites.
Our full food and beverage service commences as your cruise sets off on tropical Indian Ocean waters.
We travel approximately 8 kilometres offshore over native pearl oyster beds to Cygnet Bay’s Broome pearl leases for a live and interactive pearling demonstration.
We then journey back towards Cable Beach, where the boat anchors just offshore for you to enjoy seated banquet dining.
It is here you can witness the most beautiful sunset in the West. The descent of golden Kimberley skies creates a magical skyline you will simply never forget.
As twilight sets in, we make our way back to Gantheaume Point, where your coachline awaits your return to transport you back to your accommodation.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
We want all guests to love our cruise experience. So, of course, we can accommodate some food intolerances or specific dietary needs as far as reasonably practical, but please inform us with at least 72 hours’ notice (or preferably when making your booking). Please contact us to discuss. Our boat has very limited storage space, so notification of food intolerances on the day is unlikely to be able to be accommodated, as logistics are planned in advance.

Tours operate 5 days per week (Wednesday to Sunday) during peak periods.
Please wait outside your hotel/accommodation 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time – this will be confirmed when booking.
If you are not travelling with us by coach, please make your own way to Gantheaume Point, ready to depart as per below.
Coach transfer is provided, commencing early afternoon from various local hotels and accommodation locations. Cruise departs from Gantheaume Point. Timings will be confirmed with you upon booking.
Boat cruise component concludes at approximately 7pm, with return coach transfers to your accommodation provided.
Total duration is (up to) approximately 5-6 hours.

We travel on the open ocean, so if you suffer from motion sickness, please take medication prior to arriving.

We loved it! We had the best time on this cruise! I have been on this twice now and it was just as good the second time around. We had a wonderful sunny day and calm waters which made it perfect for relaxing on the boat with plenty of beautiful local wine and delicious seafood. We caught lots of crays and was excited to eat them freshly cooked straight from the sea to the bbq to my plate! The food was cooked to perfection by the chef! I also tasted my first cray sashimi! Would recommend this to anyone who loves relaxing and eating amazing seafood.Michelle F23/02/2020
Excellent outing on Rotto, first class service, professional as it gets. Such a great addition to those looking to elevate the Rottnest island getaway. As a day trip you get to set out on the water, catch some amazingly fresh crayfish (lobster like shellfish) and enjoy the fruits of your catch with a supplemented first class meal. Take your swimsuit and towel. The trip lands you back around 2pm leaving plenty of time to get a quokka selfie and complete a quick bike tour on a short circuit. I really enjoy this, and it was made special by a professional staff in all aspects of boat safety, fishing knowledge, and food/beverage service. Worth the price, would do again, met some great people on the trip.J M19/11/2019
